Dalex Finance has honoured its dedicated and hardworking staff as part of the company’s annual games and awards ceremony.

The event, which was held on Saturday, 18 August 2018, at the Legon Ajax Park, brought together staff members from the Greater Accra, Central, Eastern, Volta and Western regions.

The ceremony began with staff from the aforementioned regions competing against each other in football, tug of war and turnaround relay contests.

In the football event, the team from the Eastern region (Koforidua) emerged winners after beating their counterparts from the Western and Central regions on penalties.

The tug of war event for both male and female was won by the southern sector, who completely dominated the contest.

Meanwhile, the team from Koforidua emerged overall winners after also winning the turnaround relay contest for both male and female.

The event was climaxed by an awards ceremony to honour all hardworking staff who have immensely contributed to the growth of the financial company in the year under review.

Dalex Finance, which is one of Ghana’s foremost leasing companies, currently has over 4000 employees spread across the country.

In all, over 25 employees of the financial company were awarded for their commitment and hard work in the year under review.

Some of the staff members who were awarded include Noah Larbi, Eric Allan Mensah, Divine Boampong, Eugene Quaye, Henry Adjei Frimpong, Paul Ntatia, Millicent Mensah, Wisdom Gbegblewu, Annabella Ofei Asiedu, Frimpong Lartebia Ophelia, Fredrick Baah, amongst others.

The honoured staff members took home prizes ranging from mobile phones, laptops and LED television sets, with four of the employees being awarded with an all-expense paid trip to Dubai.

Director of Business Operations at Dalex Finance, Joe Jackson, explained that the rationale behind the event is to bring together all 4000 staff members around the country to have a good time and to also reward deserving employees.

According to him, the fun games and the awards ceremony is geared towards encouraging employees to continue to work harder.

He added that Dalex Finance will continue to serve the rural communities in the country with diligence and commitment.

“We are a family of over 4000 people, so today is for members of the family to come together, play games and have fun. It started last night with competitions done on a regional basis and it’s simply a family of workers coming together to enjoy ourselves,” Mr. Jackson said.

“Then it is also to reward those who did well last year, and the star award is that we are taking the four best performing employees out of the five regions to an all-expense paid trip to Dubai. Their tickets, meals, hotel, dinners, excursions and other fun events [will be catered for by the company]. If you’ve done well, you should have fun as well,” he added.

This is the fourth successive time that Dalex Finance has organised a games and awards ceremony for its employees, having first held such an event in 2014.
