The Ghanaian government is considering a reduction in the tax component of the price build-up of aviation fuel, as it seeks to make the price of the commodity affordable in the West Africa country.
The price of aviation fuel is comparatively expensive in Ghana, a country seeking to be the aviation hub of the sub-Region . The commodity sells for much less in neighboring Ivory Coast and Nigeria.
Ghana’s Aviation Ministry, according to sources who spoke to http://AviationGhana , have made proposals to government, through the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), for a downward review of the price of the commodity.
