Ghana: Ethiopian Airlines supports Christian Pilgrimage to Israel

205 Ghanaian Christians are currently performing the Christian pilgrimage to Israel this year.

Deputy Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Paul Essien, led the first batch of 55 and later joined by 155 others

The Chieftaincy Minister, Kofi Dzamesi who led the second batch of 155 on the 14th had earlier visited the pilgrims at the Aviation Social Centre to bid them farewell before they set off.

The Minister said that the pilgrims made up of traditional and Christian leaders, and members of a number of churches.from the 20 Regions of Ghana are going to experience in what they were taught in their churches about the birth place of Jesus.

He expressed the belief that more Christians should be encouraged to visit Israel to renew their faith and to see for themselves things that they preach about from the Bible.

Ethiopian Airlines had sponsored some Pastors on a Fam Trip in partnership with One People Travels 2 years ago as a way of boosting Pilgrimage to Isreal. According to the General Manager of Ethiopian Airlines in Ghana Mrs Genet W/Michael “Ethiopian Airlines as the.most successful Airline in Africa and the leading International Airline In Ghana has Chosen to support the Pilgrimage because of its partnership with the people of Ghana a country we have served for over 50 years”

For some of the first time Travellers it was a great Opportunity and they were happy as they completed boarding formalities at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) to embark on the Holy Journey onboard Ethiopian Airlines.
