205 Ghanaian Christians are currently performing the Christian pilgrimage to Israel this year.
Deputy Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Paul Essien, led the first batch of 55 and later joined by 155 others
The Chieftaincy Minister, Kofi Dzamesi who led the second batch of 155 on the 14th had earlier visited the pilgrims at the Aviation Social Centre to bid them farewell before they set off.
The Minister said that the pilgrims made up of traditional and Christian leaders, and members of a number of churches.from the 20 Regions of Ghana are going to experience in what they were taught in their churches about the birth place of Jesus.
He expressed the belief that more Christians should be encouraged to visit Israel to renew their faith and to see for themselves things that they preach about from the Bible.
