Region Tour Tourism

Fiacre GBEDJI, Benin tour guide, just departed us. Your name will be remembered for ever in the tourism family of Benin…

With 2 French tourists visiting Benin national park(Parc Pendjari) in the northern part of the country, sharing a border with Burkina Faso, last Wednesday, the 1st of may, continued their game drive in the park. And till late that evening, as not returning, the altra modern Pendjari tent lodge management alerted the authorities, who with the 2 helicopters in the PARC, and the over 200 trained rangers began the search of Benin side of the park. And yesterday, his body was found almost beyond the Benin security coverage area of African park.

Reports so far show the two French tourists were taken through Burkina towards Mali. It is not yet clear the people behind this act.
A very hard to believe the story in this part of the world. Indeed painful and pathetic.

African Parc group took over Benin national park and has since above 2 years transformed the stakeholders to a most visit park in the western part of Africa.

CTMBenin tourism stake holders umbrella President traveled to the region over the weekend to confirm developments, and confirms stronger security measures has been put in place over the weekend to secure the park from the neighbouring sides, and the Benin Present President whose total dedication to Benin tourism destination transformation abilities has been demonstrated beyond borders, has since deployed relevant authorities to continue the investigation on how to find alive our highly valued 2 French tourists.

African tourism development is our lowest hanging fruit, let’s join our hands to push it up with our positive reports, and not pull it down.

Great working week to us all.
